This was our fifteenth year to spend the week after Christmas in Seaside, Florida.
I am frequently ask why we go to the beach in the winter. I love the winter sea. Her voice both calms and soothes my soul. She is my elixir.
Enjoy my Seaside...

Bonnie, my favorite time to be at the beach is in winter. I love these photos. I've read about Seaside and seen photos in magazines, but it's great to see these actual photos. It's as beautiful as it looks in print!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a grand time!
Hi Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
I've read a lot of Seaside lately...a couple of other bloggers have visited there...and it looks exactly like a place I would love to find a little cottage and settle in. I love that you shared such beautiful pictures - the sea is so calming to me and there is nothing more wonderful than listening to the waves. I love that sound!
Hope your new year is off to a lovely start!
Sarah
I love the image of the waves and sandcastle, what an excellent start to a new year. I would like to be there right now!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Looks just a tad warmer than our cold beach. I live just 15 miles away from Seaside, Oregon but our average temp this time of year is about 40 degrees. We still do some winter beach walking, but usually not much beach-sitting this time of year!
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through Ravelry - gorgeous photos here! I too, am a fan of beaches in the wintertime, although mine are quite a bit colder (PEI and Newfoundland, Canada).
ReplyDeleteLooks like heaven; can I join you next year?
