Weekend Plans

This morning was one of the first in a while I haven't followed Willie downstairs with book in hand hoping to indulge in a few more pages before starting my day .   I became so involved with my last book, I stayed up late to finish it.   I've felt a little lost not having a book waiting for me.  Well that's a another post isn't it?  Today is Friday, and I am ready for a quiet few days.

We were out of town two weekends in a row.  Now, it is time to be at home.
There are a few things on the calendar: the farmer's market, a library book sale, and a wedding.   Mostly, I want to spend some time in the garden and possibly relaxing with a new book.

Enjoy your weekend!

Go for a walk...

Eat something delicious...

Spend some time napping...

Look toward the sky...

And don't forget to smile.

"Salute"

Whatever you do...enjoy!

Life is short...

  1. I saw the turtle with the "Eat something delicious" and I was scared for a minute. I was relieved to see the salad below it.

    Love your smiling pup!

  2. My sentiments exactly, Bonnie. May you find a whole stack of books at the library sale and raise your glass each evening to a satisfying completed day.

  5. Enjoyable to have the busy times away but isn't it THE BEST to be in the "at home pace" . . . I look forward to hearing/seeing what treasures you will have found at the Library Sale! Enjoy . . .

  6. I thought the same thing when I saw the Turtle!! How funny. Willie is such a cutie. I am bereft if I don't have a stack of unread books waiting for me. The hunt is part of the pleasure, but it's also fun to sit with a stack, read the jackets, and decide which one you want to read most. I hope you have a relaxing weekend.

  8. me too...thought the same thing! :) Sounds like a nice weekend - hopefully I'll have one soon.
We have a new library in town that I'm anxious to go to. A Sunday by myself in the library sounds like heaven.

love to hear what the sale was like. Have a wonderful weekend Bonnie. xo

  9. Prawns are on the menu tonight. I can hardly wait but I will have to as my hand is in a splint and I need my husband to peel them for me. With the enforced inactivity I had a very enjoyable afternoon finishing a good crime novel. Like you I wonder what the next book will be.

  13. Darling Bonnie...I so agree with all the ideas you mention here! I too was away for about a week, and I spent it with family out of state. I learned so much while I was there, in observation AND in action. I truly believe that for myself, learning the right amount of balance for every activity I participate in life is the key to understanding just a little bit better what my role is in this life! Reading, writing, music, art, my work as a French teacher and the important people around me are all part of the mix. Looks as you and I share many things in common and one of them is when you start a book, it's hard to put it down!!!

Have a splendid summer day. Anita
