And Have No Regrets

Here I find myself in mid April.
The days continue to race past.
I reach to grasp a moment,
 and feel it slide away
leaving only the scent
of a once presence.

Time is fragile.
It passes us without a blink.
Sometimes...
we are fortunate to witness a miracle,
given a second chance.

Touch,
inhale,
and savor the taste
of every moment.
And have no regrets.

Have a wonderful week.

  4. Time is fragile, Bonnie. Moments do fly by before we can capture a memory. You are a rare gentle soul to remind us to take a good moment with no regrets.

Another suggestion for your summer reading list (if you have not already read it) is: The Lace Reader by Brunonia Barry

  6. That was so beautiful. I lost seven days last week, but feel better now. Time goes by so quickly especially as we age, and I hate to miss out on anything.

You have a wonderful soul, Bonnie, and I am so glad to have gotten to know you through this wonderful world of Blogger.

  9. I feel so blessed that you posted this today. My father had a very risky surgery this morning but came through it better than we had hoped. It was truly a miracle and this post really lifted my spirits. Time is such a precious gift ... too precious to have any regrets.

    Thank you.

  12. Hello there dear Bonnie,

Beautiful reflections on the most delicate but most ESSENTIAL moments of existence. And to have no regrets, but rather gratitude for just having breath and life. Thank you so very much for commenting today, and I love to attempt to say what maybe others want to, but are not able. Thus the challenge of writing. Anita

  13. Hi Bonnie, I was out looking at blogs that some of my followers followed, when I found your lovely blog. We have many mutual followers so I think that we were destined to cross paths at some point. Your blog is a breath of fresh air and I love your photography. I am a retired activity director of an assisted living building. I enjoy fixing up my home, and anything artsy. I also love to cook, garden, play guitar, sing and just plain enjoy life. I have been married to my sweetheart for 37 years, I'm a mother and grandma.
I would like to take this opportunity to invite you over to follow me back.
I have met the nicest people in blog-land :)
And I would love to get to know you better through blogging:)
Your newest blogging sister, Connie :)

  16. Hello Bonnie, I wanted to tell you that my photo did not do justice to the work of Maria Merian. If you can locate a copy of her books you will see what I mean, the work is extraordinary.

  18. Yes, those blooming miracles pass all too quickly, as do the moments in our lives, therefore we must savor each one and ATTEMPT to live without regret ( that is the difficult part). Lovely writing today Bonnie.
