It is a beautiful day here at Living Life.
After a week of highs and lows, and an anticipated storm,
our storm watcher |
stopped to admire and photograph (with iPhone) a few plants wintering indoors
before grabbing the camera and heading outside
to see what is popping just beyond backdoor.
and make one smile.
I think I'll go out and cut a few stems of quince to bring inside.
Hi Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteFirst, I am so glad that you did find me again! I am having a heck of a time - none of my old followers know where I am. I feel like I'm here in my yellow house writing to myself! I believe in everything happens for a reason, but I have yet to figure this one out. :) I'm just forging on .....
It looks like spring around there. I am completely jealous as the high on Friday here wass 8 degrees. 8! There are no blooms - only the ones I get from the grocery store. So, you enjoy them fully. xo
Sarah
Ok...maybe it's my bad blogger luck lately but this post doesn't show up on my readers list or as a new post. It's only when I click on Living Life does it show.
ReplyDeleteIt might just be me .... ???? but I thought I would be it to your attention in case this one wasn't due to MY blog troubles. :)
Oh my, certainly enjoyed seeing a bit of bright and colorful in your post. Helps me remember what is coming around the corner in a few more months. Thank you for the cheer!
ReplyDeleteHello Bonnie:
ReplyDeleteYou really do in this post bring spring forward in anticipation of all the delights which surely now lie just around the corner. As we no longer have a garden we are far less conscious, in the centre of a city, of the subtle changes in the seasons. These wonderful images are a gentle and lovely reminder.
How beautiful! It will be months before we see anything blooming here. How nice to see the color. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week, Bonnie!
Hugs,
Zuzu
Lovely! Outside our window, there are shades of gray, black and white. No color yet. When it comes, it will be most welcome!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
You are a gal after my own heart finding color in winter. It’s positively lively here today ~ I loved you photographs and bringing the outside in with quince cuttings.
ReplyDeleteSome great spring photos. Isn't it lovely to see plants in flower again.. Jx
ReplyDeleteWow! Lovely photos - you are at least a month ahead of us. Gives me hope for the future ... the near future. only six or seven more weeks of February to go!
ReplyDeleteOh my God how beautiful. I'm with webb, spring can't come soon enough for me.
ReplyDeletexo Jane
How beautiful! Thank you for sharing your lovely flowers with us.
ReplyDeleteI'm not ready for winter to end either. I enjoy the seasons.. and how they parallel life. We've had a mild winter thus far but I am sure we have more cold weather ahead.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!

Bonnie...
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you have crocuses and daffodil buds already. I am a winter person who woke up to a couple of inches of snow this morning. Maybe the groundhog will be wrong and spring will be pushed back. That would make me happy too.

I am so amazed to step outside the door in midwinter and find little pansy faces, daffodil blooms and all manner of greenery beginning to BURST from the earth! Some of the plants have made it all through the winter. It looks like yours have to, lovely to see.
ReplyDeleteWow! You have so much blooming already! My daffodils are blooming already also, but I'm right with you hoping for a few more "fireplace" weekends before winter ends!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh.... a breath of SPRING! Oh, bring it on!
ReplyDeleteBonnie dear, thank you kindly for visiting me last night and for your kind comments. I must run; I am a teacher and need to get out of here this morning, but I just wanted to swing by to say, "Bonjour!"
Anita
It is 6pm and I still have my window open. There is snow on the ground but the day was warm and sunny. I have a south facing kitchen and it was perfect.
ReplyDeleteDear Bonnie....Oh, so beautiful!! Ours are not quite out yet, but a few more days like today and they will be! Thank you SO much for visiting me, my Dear, and for all your sweet comments about my "arty stuff" and Daddy...made my day! ♥♥
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Thursday, my friend!
Hugs,
Anne
ooohhhh Bonnie, this did make me smile! Your images are beautiful, you are way ahead of us! Opening up those windows sure can lift ones spirit!
ReplyDeleteDear Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteI am glad I stopped by so that I could see your beautiful pics...Love your "storm watcher"...I am ready for Spring, had enough of the bitter cold.
What beautiful colours! We are having a fireplace night tonight, and tomorrow promises to be a fireplace day, too. I think we've still got lots of winter left.
