It's my first day back in school.
It is always exciting.
There's always a little bit of a honeymoon period,
then the children figure out I'm pretty much a push over.
I'm working on a routine of writing and scheduling, rather than writing and posting. Stay with me, it may take me a few weeks to build my stamina. I'm fully expecting to need a nap when I get home this afternoon.
Okay,
I'm going in....
It is going to be a great year!
It is always an exciting time of year for students, teachers and tired parents. I hope you have a wonderful year. Those children are fortunate to have a teacher like you, Bonnie.

Thank you for the reminder!
Here is my memory from my first day of teaching kindergarten, back in 1961.
My first day of teaching kindergarten in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the children were out doors waiting in line for the bell to ring, to come in to school. One of the little girls in my class threw up . . . thirteen others threw up after . . .
Great first day of teaching!I
